Life is definitely a journey. It sprinkles magic on your existence and brings about challenges. At times, events may require for you to press pause, take a step back…a great opportunity to focus on yourself ! These moments might be frightening but they are probably the most enlightening times, bringing you endless opportunities to give yourself gifts such as : confidence, self-love… All in all, times to learn and grow !
Confidence is the ability to face challenges and perceiving them as learning experiences. Confident people are then able to take on whatever life throws at them, as they draw on their self-belief, exuding positivity drawing other people in turn to these positive vibes.
Know what you want – establishing a big picture goal for yourself is key as it gives you a the opportunity to identify the path you are on and why you are on it… It also provides the means to know how to go about your life.
Accept your flaws and know your weaknesses – no one is perfect and everyone has their insecurities. Accept your flaws, love yourself, be confident…as a result you’ll end up attracting more positive experiences as a result. Knowing your weaknesses gives you the chance to seek help in those areas and gives you the opportunity to focus on what you do best.
Stop seeking validation – if you have confidence in who you are, your abilities, why seek the validation of others ? Seeking people’s approbation on your actions, on the way you are nourishes your insecurities. The only validation you need to be seeking is your own.
Groom yourself and put yourself first – because it’s the key to self-love ! Listen to yourself, focus on your needs…all in all respect yourself, love yourself, treat yourself…
I’ve just experienced one of these growing experiences and I am well aware that it is just the beginning of a journey but I truly believe that it is one of the best presents you can give yourself. And since its V Day, why not spread the love starting with ourselves ?
As Carrie Bradshaw once said “ The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. ”
